A virtual series for directors and owners who want to focus on stability, security, and success.
The world has been shaken by a pandemic. The effects are being felt in our lives every day. Our schools are in crisis.
How do you lead your teachers during a season like this? How do you support children and parents? How do you make strategic decisions about your school in a season of unknowns?
The Schools in Crisis Series is a free-to-attend event taking place online from May 10-14, 2020, with a special follow-up training on May 18.
You've spent weeks wondering...
How to motivate your team at a time like this?
How to earn and sustain trust with parents and teachers?
What the impact is of teacher anxiety on the children in their care?
How to make decisions as a war-time leader?
How to deal with the grief, loss and the crisis that is constantly weighing on you?
Since the pandemic broke out, I've spoken to dozens of school leaders on the phone. While battling Covid-19 at home, I was messaging leaders to see how they were getting on.
How do we deal with the immediate crises of closing schools, laying off and furloughing staff, and unemployment?
But at Schools of Excellence, we always focus on the ripple effect. What effect is this going to have on our schools?
It goes far beyond the immediate crises, and we need to prepare now. That's why I've created the Schools in Crisis Series.
This virtual series will take place on May 10-14 with a live webinar training on May 18, and is free to attend.

The Schools in Crisis Series focuses on 5 areas of school leadership:

Mental
As the leader of the school your mental state of being has a direct ripple effect to the staff, families and children. How you choose to make decisions now can be life or death for your school. And the way you show up in your day and enter difficult conversations will determine some of the long term effects of your school culture.

physical
The body keeps score and it always wins” our bodies are processing everything that is happening right now and the choices we make around what we eat, the way our home is set up, how we sleep and exercise can make a massive difference in the experience we have during this time and after.

emotional
This time is effecting our marriage, relationships, and our children. Our bodies are in constant fight or flight and even when we become aware of it, it’s so challenging to let it go. Fortunately, there are tools we can use in our relationships that will help us thrive during this time and even bring a new level of meaning to our lives.

financial
Your schools and personal finance may have been hit hard and you are trying to gather all the data to make the best decisions for your life and your school. But what about when their are no right moves? How do you make the best decision for you when you don’t know. Our leading financial experts will share their advice.

social
Resilience and grit will help you navigate this time. How can you become more resilient? How can you guide your staff to create safe containers for connection with the children for when they return. What about all the behavior issues that will come up as a result of this?

Hi, I'm your host - Chanie Wilschanski!

I’m an Early Childhood Leadership Coach and Culture Specialist, and have had the privilege of working with hundreds of Directors who are working to build a school of excellence.
I began my journey over a decade ago, teaching toddlers at the acclaimed Preschool of the Arts in NYC.
Continuing my path into higher studies, I got my Masters in EC and Special Education, and started training teachers and school leaders on the HOW part of creating excellence in their schools.
Throughout my journey, I got married and had 4 children (ages 2, 5, 8 and 9). My hands are full! I know what it takes to lead a large center and have a full-time job at home as well, and it breaks my heart when I see so many dedicated school leaders sacrificing all of their time with their family and all of their self care (what self care?) to a school that feels like it’s constantly getting away from them.
As seen in...
